Over the years I have enjoyed several great holidays in lovely hotels - an extravagant treat and great break from work . One year I decided to be a little less selfish and rather than spend a huge amount of money on flashy hotels I went on a volunteering holiday in Tanzania which involved working in an amazing orphanage and also carrying out some conservation work. On my return, I felt so inspired by my experience and wanted to do it again! However, if I was honest I was exhausted so I decided my future plans for holidays would embrace the live in the '&' mantra. Now every Summer I take a 2 week holiday, I spend the first week living selflessly and the second week selfishly. This year I am planning some conservation work in the rainforest, followed by a week on the beach in a luxurious hotel - guilt free relaxation!
