I recently fell in love with this adage about wine "Boire moins, boire mieux (Drink less, drink better)". It applies to most things in life; focusing on quality over quantity; moderation and responsibility. It is the ultimate expression of “Living in the &” for me. My biggest indulgence is the local, organic, bio dynamic and fair-trade food, wines and other products to which I treat myself every day. By supporting local farmers and Eco-conscious companies I am helping provide meaningful livelihoods and to sustain a healthier environment for future generations everywhere. Paying back and paying it forward at the same time. Another favorite maxim is “Work to live, not live to work”. I happily traded in my commercial real estate briefcase to become a wine educator. Instead of paving paradise, I now share my passion and knowledge for real food and wines. What a joy pairing wine and chocolate! Dark and rich goes a long way with both. I am living & even with a lighter paycheck. Organics cost a little more; but without a corporate image to maintain, I live freely and richly, with carefully chosen priorities. No one ever said that you have to suffer to do good.
